Terry Conlon PC/PGC/ACI/CPD
Terry has a wealth of experience in both the UK and Ireland security sector spanning 23 years since he began his journey as a security officer progressing over time to supervisor, operations manager, trainer, and Director. Terry holds a Postgraduate Certificate from the University of Portsmouth in security management, a CPTED professional designation from the NICP, ALICE active shooter instructor (only one in Ireland) obtained whilst studying in New York City along with many other instructors and training qualifications. Terry is also a Peace Commissioner within the department of Justice and equality where he works closely with government and law enforcement.

Mr. John Magee
Tutor of security studies at Cavan Institute, Ireland since 2002. Prior to that, I have been involved in the private security sector in Ireland since 1987, in that time I served first as a security officer then security supervisor and later as site manager (major Dublin Hospital) with responsibility for multiple locations comprising of retail, financial educational, industrial, and commercial activities. I have trained as an industrial firefighter / first responder and private investigator during the formative years of my security career. Prior to joining Cavan Institute in 2002, I ran my own corporate transport company (chauffeur) servicing the then-emerging financial, corporate and entertainment sectors in Dublin in the mid to late 1990s.
Also, since 2002 outside my college tutorial commitments, I have specialised in the event security sector both here in Ireland and throughout Europe, working on such major projects like when Ireland hosted The Ryder Cup (Golf) in 2006 and the visit of Pope Francis to Ireland in 2018 (Joint Control Room Operations)
